Exercise Orion 23, organised by the Portuguese Army, took place at Campo Militar de Santa Margarida, home of the Mechanised Brigade, and included the participation of soldiers from four NATO countries: Portugal, Spain, France and Romania. This exercise aims to boost joint training between the various countries, providing a wide range of tactical missions, with the intention of sharing knowledge, increasing integration, promoting innovation and strengthening ties between the participating nations. We had the opportunity to take part in the High Visibility Event, where various real fire manoeuvres were carried out, the purpose of which was to synchronise the fire, movement and tactical manoeuvre of the ground forces, in an exercise characterised by its combined matrix.
